When it looks down
When people say the market is down, most of the time it is not. It is their connection. This site does not monitor the addresses, so it cannot tell you a status. What it can do is help you figure out what is actually happening.
Work through it in order
- Try all three addresses. One onion service being slow or blocked is normal. If one loads, the market is up.
- If none load, restart Tor Browser. A stuck circuit is the usual cause.
- If it still fails, try a different network. Some networks block or throttle Tor.
- If it loads but looks wrong, you may be on a lookalike. Check the address. The troubleshooting page goes through each case.
What real downtime looks like
When a market is genuinely down, all three addresses fail at the same time, and it stays that way for hours, not minutes. A single address timing out once is not that. If all three are down for a long stretch, the market is updating or having a problem, and there is nothing to do but wait and not create a new account in a panic.
Because this site does not run checks, there is no status light here. The honest answer is: try the three addresses, and if all three fail together for a long time, it is down. Otherwise it is your side of the connection.
