Deposits
Deposits on Nexus Market work the way they do on most markets: you send coins to a deposit address the market generates for your account, and the balance appears once the transaction confirms.
How it works
- Open your account and go to the deposit or wallet section.
- Choose the coin and get the deposit address for your account.
- Send the amount. Wait for confirmations. The balance updates when it is confirmed.
What to check
- The deposit address is yours, for your account. It is generated on the market, not something you type in. Copy it from the market, not from a message.
- Send a small test first if the amount is large. Confirm it arrives, then send the rest.
- Coins sit in your account balance, held by the market's wallet system. That is normal for this kind of market, and it is why the market's security matters.
The coins you deposit are the ones you use for orders, and they go into escrow when you buy. If the address is wrong, the deposit goes to the wrong place, which is why verifying the market address first is not optional. The withdrawal page covers getting funds back out.
